Greatest App Ever Made

I cant say enough about Happy Scale. It has changed my thinking about my weight, my body, my workouts, and my lifestyle. No exaggeration. I lost 25 lbs in the past year thanks to Happy Scales coaching helping me realize that its normal for weight to fluctuate every day - sometimes by a lot! - and I should focus instead on making sure I get my daily exercise and eat fairly decently. Thats it.

The magic is in the "Moving Average" and how Happy Scale shows you how one (or two, or three) crazy, off the charts weigh-ins do not effect the grand scheme of things and you should just waive that annoying fly away, and keep going on your daily business of taking care of yourself.

Example: Friday, I got on the scale and saw that Id gained 6 lbs in a week. WHAT? Monday it was lower, today a little lower. I looked back at the entire month and saw the scale had been gradually going down the entire time - it had only jumped after my week-long vacation (no weigh-ins) over the 4th of July (om nom nom, lots of food, and which also coincided with...well, "chick stuff." You get what I mean.)

I used the free version for nine months and shouldve coughed up the low, low price to get the paid version sooner, because it archives your weights if you do that. I finally purchased it to thank the app author.

Conclusion: 11 months. Down 25 lbs. Weigh every day and log in Happy Scale. Exercise.

NO CRAZY DIET. No Keri, no Paleo, no Military diet. Just paying attention to when Im actually full, treating myself right by tossing in some healthy food choices along the way (plus ice cream! And Jolly Ranchers. We all have our vices) but most of all EXERCISING. Every day. Period. No matter what. (Except one day when I was throwing up from a virus. And Christmas. But every other day, yup!) It is NOT over doing it to go for a 20-45 minute walk every day. You have to burn this crap off. How else will you do it? Not by "eating good fats" or drinking more water. You have to use your fat stores up.

It aint rocket science.

Happy Scale will cheerfully bring you back to simplicity. It will take away your anxiety about your weight, through gains and losses, whether you have a long-term, short-term, or no goal at all and just want to keep track for other reasons.
